Denim Mending, Sat. Sept. 21 , 1-4 pm EST
Denim Mending, Sat. Sept. 21 , 1-4 pm EST
In this class we will explore various approaches to denim repair. Denim is one of my favorite materials to work with: strong & study, but easy to stitch. Since denim is such a staple in our closets there seems to be no end to the mend pile.
We will explore an array of classic patch repairs, sashiko mending and alternative methods of repair, like darning. Bring several items to repair to class & see where the inspiration takes you as I demo methods and we repair together.
Great follow up to Intro to Sashiko.
I share my favorite materials, practices for quicker, stress-free stitching, and tips and tricks for applying these methods to clothing. The optional class kit includes upcycle materials for patching or practicing techniques as well as my favorite curated materials.
Class is held via Zoom and the private class login will be shared before class. Please double check your email is correct at checkout.
