Intro to Sashiko, Aug. 17, 1-3pm EST

Learn the basics of sashiko, get a refresh on your stitching skills, or just have a dedicated time & space to make together with guided instruction.

In this introduction to sashiko class we will use one of my two Sashiko Mini Sampler Kits. Choose which kit you prefer to work on. Each kit features 6 different patterns and includes all materials: pre-printed fabric, sashiko thread & sashiko needles. You'll just need scissors.  

Class covers the the history of sashiko, basics of sashiko stitching, materials and breakdown of six traditional patterns. Use your finished piece as a sampler, patches, coasters, sachets or any way you can imagine!
